Firefighter-Paramedic Mike Downing

Today I traveled down to Norwood, MA to get some shots of F.F. Paramedic Mike Downing, the ALS Coordinator for Norwood Fire. This is my second time to Norwood to shoot Mike. My last visit was accompanied by continuous medical calls making it pretty hard to get any shots.  Today was a bit cloudy and windy, but I think we got the shots we were looking for.

"Nothing's Changed. We do the best we can and help those who need help the most."

The title is a small quote from a very wise captain. It struck a chord with me so I wanted to share it with everyone. On another note, I've found I enjoy taking pictures of fire helmets. They're a firefighters fingerprint,  their badge of courage. With one look you can see
what that particular Jake has been through, or at least get a good idea of how much smoke they've seen. Each dented eagle has a story behind it. Every melted shield holds a lesson within it. Next time your bored, take a walk around the firehouse and get some stories from your brothers and sisters you work with. And if they say they don't have any,

hand them their helmet.

Firefighter Tom Brothers

Today I had the privlage to head to Lowell Engine 11 Ladder 1 to photograph my father who's retiring within a couple of months. It's gonna be wierd not being able to visit him at the fire station once he's done, but my barn doors will always be open for a visit! Early congratulations Dad!

This is my son Jaxson. He might eventually be the most photographed baby in the world. He is now 9 weeks old and is growing like a weed.

McGillivray Family

I was lucky enough to spend the afternoon with the McGillivray's up in Maine. They have been wanting a family potrait by the beach for sometime. I was glad that I could help!

Jim Boermeester Retirement Shoot

These pictures were taken on Jim's last day as a Chelmsford Fire Captain. Jim is retiring after a great career that lasted over three decades. We wish Jim the best of luck on his retirement. Congrats Cap!
